Happy Halloween weekend

I had a few requests for different chicks to kick off the week and I have placed them on the list. Since Halloween is this weekend I thought we would kick it off with sexy costumes. Guys love Halloween because no matter how ugly they may be they can cover that shit up and hit on chicks without regard. Ladies Halloween because they can release their inner slut!! Believe me ladies we like your inner slut. Maybe you should dress up more often. I love Halloween because there is yet another reason for a pub crawl - http://crawlinboston.com.

Question 1

The No Sales Tax for Alcohol Question, also known as Question 1, will be on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Massachusetts as an indirect initiated state statute. The measure would ask voters whether or not to repeal a sales tax for alcohol sales. Liquor retailers in Massachusetts indicated in late July 2009 that they were going to try to qualify the ballot measure for the 2010 ballot after the Massachusetts State Legislature increased the sales tax in the state from 5% to 6.25% and eliminated an exemption for alcohol sold in liquor stores.

State legislators in favor of the new sales tax on alcohol sold in liquor stores have stated that it may result in about $80 million in new state revenue.

The Massachusetts Package Stores Association disagreed, believing the figure would be closer to $50 million. The liquor association is opposed to the new sales tax on alcohol because they believe it will cost an estimated 3,000 people their jobs because it will cause alcohol sales to plunge.

Normally I am not one to write shit about politics but when it affects my beers, well then HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM. Obviously booze is close to my heart. We all need to have vices. Don't trust anyone who says they don't have any - maybe they like women, coke, booze, gambling, farm animals, or sniff glue. You gotta have something god damn it!!

Sorry I got a little side tracked. Basically booze is already taxed(excise) and since July 1st its been taxed again(sales tax). Should we really have to pay a double tax? Booze is marked up 40-50% because of the taxes involved, does it seem fair to make us pay even more? I am all for sin taxes. Hell I am in favor of legalizing everything and anything and taxing it. Weed - legalize it and tax that bitch. Im sure it would help with our war on drugs. Hookers - legalize it and tax that pussy(in more ways than one). If someone wants to pay for something(sex) that people give away for free(before they get married) then what sense does it make not to tax it?

Alright enough ranting from me. You will vote whatever way you want. I am voting YES and I hope you do as well.

Quick summary:

This proposed law would remove the Massachusetts sales tax on alcoholic beverages and alcohol, where the sale of such beverages and alcohol or their importation into the state is already subject to a separate excise tax under state law. The proposed law would take effect on January 1, 2011.

A YES VOTE would remove the state sales tax on alcoholic beverages and alcohol where their sale or importation into the state is subject to an excise tax under state law.

A NO VOTE would make no change in the state sales tax on alcoholic beverages and alcohol.

Week 8 update

From the desk of TMX a fantasy football reporting source with a loose affiliation with folan.com...

Week 7 has come and gone with some great individual performances Roddy White, Run-Dmc, AP, and the rest of the usual suspects. Unfortunately none of those guys were on Bobby Browns Other Kid's team. Bbrown's roster produced as follows: JCulter 7 points ( good time for a bye or goodbye) Cedric Benson 6.5; Shady Mccoy 12 points; Miles Austin 4.5 ( pretty sure we spoke to Miles last week) Terrell Owens 18.5 TEAM LEADER; Shiancoe 4pts; J Brown (no relation to bobby) 5pts and Vikes D 6 points for a total of 64 points and last place for the week. The star of Bbrowns Mr. Reggie Wayne was on a bye so that accounts for some of the points lost but TMX never uses byes as an excuse. TMX digs deeper and investigated the reason for this last place finish.

The reason for Bbrowns last place finish can only be pointed to one thing. Blog envy. Plain and simple. Mr Brown isnt getting enough blog time, never on the dart review, doesnt get text of the week and has even sent in pics to be the first kickoff of the weekend and was denied. TMX did however go out and talk to Brett Favre and ask him why he cant be the qb he's expected to be. He started to cry and say he feels bad then TO called us crying and said "thats my quarterback y'all" basically like these phone calls Bbrowns team is a mess. Fortunately its only week 8 and there is plenty of time to turn this ship around. The league deadline is a few weeks away and he can always pull off a blockbuster trade for a qb or hope his guys get hot either way he should be safe last time I checked the Slippery Wizards were still in last and still had Wes Welker starting.

TMX also did some investigating with the newest member of the league Dillons Villenz and found out that he will not trade with anyone due to the fact that "he doesn't want you getting the points so he'd rather just sit the guys on the bench" a very interesting approach for the guy who took the place of Iggles who quit cuz no one would trade with him? As always folan.com for everything, good luck this week and at least you didn't QUIT like Iggles.

Darts Update Week 8

We began the second half of the season in 4th place. We are in decent shape in the playoff chase considering the terrible start of the year. The team that we faced was in 3rd place on paper just 2 points ahead of us and they still have a game in hand. When the league finally makes the adjustments for the other Peggys team and their no shows, they should be looking at 1st place. I can not throw any DJ comments in tonight because the Celtics vs. The Heat were on and the music was off limits. P was under the weather probably due to rediculous amount of smoke. I am a smoker and after walking out of this joint I feel like I knocked down a carton.

The Match details:
601's - We lost the 1st and won the 2nd game (1-1)
Cricket - We swept all 3 which was a huge surprise (3-0)
301's - Won the first, Lost the next 3 and won the final 2 (3-3)
Final score = 7-4
This is a huge win over a very good team, and could prove to be big as we finish up the season.

If you are looking to join the DTF'ers we might be holding an open tryout session so get down your basement and start practicing. Rumor has it that CBV is moving to Bridgewater and might be quitting the team. He is already getting called a pussy for being sober and moving to B-Water will certainly not help his status.

Next week we are home against the Centre Bar who was in 2nd place heading into this week with 45 points. If you are in the hood, stop by and have a few.

'til next week Bitches,
Prez

World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party

The Florida vs. Georgia Football Classic or Georgia vs. Florida Football Classic is an annual college football game held between the University of Florida Gators and the University of Georgia Bulldogs nearly every year since 1915. The name rotates each year depending on which team is the designated home team. It is one of the great rivalry games in college football, and since 1933 it has nearly always been held in Jacksonville, Florida, making it one of the few remaining neutral-site rivalries. The game attracts huge crowds to Jacksonville, and the associated tailgating and other events earned it the nickname of the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party".
The game is usually held on the last Saturday in October at EverBank Field. Beginning with the 2009 contest, the winning team is awarded a trophy known as the "Okefenokee Oar".

I know I have blogged and written about this before. I will continue to do so until I make it to this game. Hopefully next year after all this wedding shit dies down. Then I will write a huge blog write up.

This game has everything:
1. Tailgating - check
2. Cocktails - check
3. Florida Co-eds - check
4. Georgia Co-eds - check
5. Jacksonville Florida - check(if it can host Superbowls then it must have a night life)
6. My favorite college football team - Georgia - check
7. Halloween weekend - check

It is really a shame that I have yet to go to this game. I have only been trying since I turned 21, whats that 12 years? This year wouldn't be a good game to go to though. The Dawgs (4-4) are rebuilding and if they lose; Mark Richt may lose his job. I know there is no build up to this game, no fanfare and no real SEC implications with Florida being(4-3) but I know where I will be on Saturday. Rooting on my team and hoping Urban Meyers gets that stupid smirk wiped off his face.

So who ya got?
Florida
