Enough is enough...
So Manny wants to be traded...
Manny likes Boston...
Manny likes the Boston Fans...
Manny thinks the Red Sox don't deserve a player like him...
I mean really?? Flip flop much?? Maybe Spanish will get through his thick skull: Yo renuncia mala mucho???
Manny has gotten $168 million bucks over the past 8 years and he wants to make sure he can get one more big fucking pay day. He does NOT want the Sox to pick up his 2 options because then he will be 39 and he won't get the pay day he thinks he deserves. FUCK HIM. Play for what you signed...stop being a bitch!
This is the proposed deal on the table (3 way Boston, Florida and Pittsburgh):
The current parameters of the trade have Jason Bay and reliever John Grabow coming to Boston, Marlins outfielder Jeremy Hermida and two prospects heading to Pittsburgh and Ramirez plus a prospect fortifying Florida.
If this is the best we can get then I say pull the trigger. As Mikey T said...Let the Jason Bay ERA start!!
And now another story I am sick of. Brett Favre, I retired - I un-retired - I retired - I un-retired - I retired - I un-retired - I want to be a Packer - I dont want to be a Packer -I want to be a Viking - I just want to play football - I retired - I will be at training camp - I won't be at training camp!! ENOUGH!
It has gotten sooooo bad that the Packers apparenlty have offered him cash monies to stay retired:
The Packers on Wednesday offered Favre a substantial sum of money -- as much as $20 million over several years -- to stay retired.
Just trade the guy, say he forced your hand and this is what he wanted. Find a way to make it work for everyone. It worked here in Boston: Ray Bourque wanted to be traded to a winner, we obliged and he won the cup with The Colorado Avalanche...we still love Bourque, he loves us and no one bitches that he quit on the B's!!
Enough sports for today....Its Thirsty Thurday. Get your drink on people

And how was your weekend?
Second you guys should of showed up at Mario's cookout. Lots of beers drank and good food. The Sox lost but hey you can't have a perfect day.
For this week:
1. Just a reminder the Bruins booze cruise is tomorrow night. If anyone wants to go...I am down.
2. I have to work Saturday overnight...booooooo.
3. Softballs at 2:30 this upcoming weekend - I hope everyone can make it.
4. The Sox are 1 game back and have 6 tough games against the Angels and The A's.
5. The summer is half over...sucky.

Don't shoot the messenger........
Quarterback Tom Brady has always prided himself on winning one of the prized parking spots in the team's player lot, which is awarded annually to the Patriots who have the best attendance records during the offseason workout program. But Brady revealed Thursday that he didn't earn one of the coveted spots this year, indirectly admitting that he was in Foxboro less this year than other offseasons.
That should come as no real surprise if you're predisposed to following Brady's off-field, globe-trotting exploits with his supermodel girlfriend, Giselle Bundchen, and remember that his young son, John, lives in California with his celebrity mom, Bridget Moynihan.
"No, I gave it up,'' Brady said, of the close parking spot. "I didn't compete for it this year. If I would have competed for it, I'm sure I would have won. But there are other things that have come up in my life that I had to make choices on.''

Please explain to me.....
Thirsty Thursday
Here are some suggestions:
1. Try to get as drunk as this dude in Rhode Island...you could easily get to .5 (just don't drive)!
2. Go to the Hong Kong and sing some Karaoke.
3. Head down to Side bar for 10 cent wings, $1.00 drafts and $6.00 pitchers of beer.
4. Start your own blog...but make sure its fun.
5. Go out and buy yourself a Moped or Scooter...gas is on the rise and if enough of you dorks get them maybe gas will start to come down.
6. Head down to The Place for DJ Chris Roxx - dancing and drinks.
7. Could buy Bruins 12 game and 24 game mini plan packs.
8. Stop by DJ's at the Garden for live music by John Kreig.
9. Spend all day online at Bar stool Sports.
10. Sit at home and watch porn...who doesn't like porn.
11. See the Dark Knight - for the 1st time or see it again.
12. Go out and make new friends.
13. Head to the casino and get your gamble on.
14. Take a long lunch break and don't go back to work until Monday.
15. Suck it Trabek.
16. Go camping, canoeing, mountain climbing, or something outdoorsey.
17. Get off your ass and find a new job.
18. Adopt a pet.
19. Go and splash in some of these nice big puddles.
20. Hug your grandmother.
I mean those are just some suggestions. I am sure you will all find some shit to get into today/tonight. Everyone knows the weekend starts on Thursday nights so lets get the ball rolling.
Onto some sports -
The Bruins signed Dennis Wideman for 4 years. The Celtics signed E-House and Tony Allen for 2 years. The Pats open up training camp today. The Red Sox just swept the Mariners. BC football starts their 1st game of the season at the end of August. If it is not one thing, its another in the world of Boston sports.
Whats up for Friday? Saturday? Sunday?
I mean I know Mario is having a cookout/blast on Saturday at 3:00 for the Sox/Yanks Game...Smiddy can't make it, big plans for him and LBoogie(don't want to ruin the suprise but there is some bling bling involved).

DAMN IT!!!!
Hub city hubub
Rumors that Jeremy Jacobs is trying to sell the Bruins no doubt caused some hope for the Original Six club's fans, but Jacobs and his son quickly told The Boston Globe that the talk is not true."I can say with great confidence that it's not on the market," Charlie Jacobs, executive vice president of the Bruins, told The Globe. "My dad enjoys operating the team and having a say in what happens here, as do I."
Jacobs told The Globe: "That's not happening. Nothing there. Absolutely zero. Zip. I don't think that's happening in my lifetime."
The elder Jacobs also owns TD Banknorth Garden and a chunk of NESN, so last week's news that Wyc Grousbeck, one of four managing partners of the NBA's Boston Celtics, was interested in buying a piece of the Los Angeles Kings led to obvious questions about whether Grousbeck would instead direct his attention and money toward the Bruins.
Grousbeck had no comment for The Globe.
"He's shopping it to his billionaire buddies," a nonteam source who deals on a regular basis with members of the Bruins' front office had told The Globe about Jacobs.
Monday musings...
Trying to sell 5 tickets to the Artie Lange show here are the details:
Cape Cod Melody Tent in
Let me know and I will pass the information along.
2. THE DARK KNIGHT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!! If anyone knows me when it comes to movies you know how OCD (maybe even neurotic) I am about seeing top notch movies the day the come out. I can not have other people see it and then ruin it for me.
So its review time... strap your boots on and buckle up, BITCHES!
First off the movie lives up to the hype. Heath Ledger is UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!!!! He portrays the Joker as he should be- sick, sadistic, warped and most of all tormented. To say his performance is ballsy is an understatement.
The movie picks up with Gotham City being a better place to live - on the up and up thanks to the Batman. Harvey Dent, the new DA, is trying to round up whats left of the Maroni crime family. The Joker is on a rampage throughout the city creating havoc, panic and general anarchy. The mob hires the Joker to kill The Batman... ok I am gonna stop right there because I know some of you want to see it and you don't need me ruining it for you. You don't need me telling you that Rachel Dawes dies or Harvey Dent becomes 2Face and starts killing cops. You also don't need to know that Batman takes the fall for the death of the cops, that he captures the Joker and while saving Commitioner Gordons son he kills 2Face... we can discuss all that after you see it. Great fucking movie and I will see it again with anyone who wants to go.
3. Thanks to all who showed up for the UFC and the tic tac shots! The fights sucked (except for the Spider) but the company was good.
Have a good week...peace

July 14th...
Great win for the Scrubbies!! The MVP of the game is Kristine for the 2 out walk she drew in the 2nd inning. Without that walk, we don't have a 10 run inning and we may of lost. Also just for her showing up and being the most HUNGOVER person in America...way to go Kris. Great job by everyone. Good job by the bottom of the order to keep things moving along. We now sit at 2-3 and need to win out.

Lucic is pissed...
The Vancouver home of Dobro and Snezana Lucic, parents of Milan Lucic, was robbed today.
Burglars stole Lucic's 2006-07 Memorial Cup championship ring, several watches awarded to the 20-year-old winger, and other hockey memorabilia.
The Vancouver Police Department and NHL Security are investigating the robbery. Lucic is in Boston this week for several events, including tonight's Beckett Bowl.
I HOPE LUCIC DOESN'T FIND OUT WHO STOLE FROM HIM!!!

Jim Purol set a world record for sitting in the most seats in 48 hours. |
PASADENA, Calif. - Jim Purol took a seat at the Rose Bowl, and then another, and then another, until he broke a world record.
The Anaheim man set a Guiness World Record on Wednesday for "Most Seats Sat in 48 Hours" by sitting in 39,250 seats.
He began the task Monday morning, and he's still going, hoping to rest his tush in each of the stadium's 92,542 seats by sometime this week.
The 56-year-old, who already holds several other world records, says he has dreamed of tackling the Rose Bowl seats for 20 years — ever since he sat in all 107,501 chairs at the University of Michigan's football stadium.
The feat has taken a toll on his body and his cleanliness, as soot on the seats rubbed off on his clothes. He says he loves the Rose Bowl but calls the place "filthy."

90210 UPDATE!!
Exclusive: Tori Is Out, Shannen Is In for 90210Remake!
If you're a fan of the O.G. Peach Pit posse, you might want to sit down, 'cause sources connected to the CW's new 90210 are spilling exclusive dish of OMG proportions.
In a nutshell: Shannen Doherty is in, Tori Spelling is out and Jennie Garth may be—wait for it—reuniting with Shannen on the screen.
(We'll pause while you find a paper sack to breathe into. Especially if your name happens to be Jennie Garth.)
A very reliable and very inside source who works on 90210 tells me exclusively that, "It is happening with Shannen. It's just a question of how long she'll shoot, whether it will be one day or ten, and what the storyline will be, but we are working on it and it is a very real thing."
Inside sources also confirm exclusively that Tori will not be able to appear in the season premiere for personal reasons. The new mom (she gave birth to a baby girl June 9) had been signed on to do "a few" episodes at the beginning of the season, but now that won't be happening.
As for Shannen's storyline, I'm told the details are still in the initial-concept stages, but the writers are hoping to get Shannen and Jennie together, onscreen, for a scene. Can you imagine?
Of course, the real question is, will they do it? "I don't think there's any love lost between Shannen and Jennie," says one rock-solid inside source. "But they are both adults now and professionals, and I don't see it being an issue. Everyone has their take on what happened back in the day, and I think the feeling is that it's time to move on. They were 19 and 20 when all of that happened and a lot has changed. And, you know, they're not moving in together, just shooting together for an hour and a half."
Another insider close to the negotiations points out: "I want to stress that Shannen has been very, very cool through this whole process. We have seen nothing like the behavior for which she was once famous for."
Awww...Who doesn't love a redemption story, right? As long as there are two red dresses in the dressing room, all should be right with the world, the ratings should go through the roof, and we 9-0 fans can start freaking out about how lip-smackingly juicy this remake just might turn out to be.
What do you think of Jennie and Shannen reuniting?

LASTLY -
Good Bye Glenn Metropolit:
Metropolit signed a two year deal with the Flyers for a million dollars a year. Metropolit is a solid defensive forward who will replace Jim Dowd as the Flyers fourth line center. He has played 262 career NHL games with 5 different organizations, including last season with the Boston Bruins. He scored 33 points last season with Boston but he is known as a hustle guy and a great penalty killer.
Hello Ryder and Blake:
Ryder
Among the handful of reclamation projects that presented themselves during the first day of free agency, few are as interesting as the Boston Bruins' experiment with former Montreal power forward Michael Ryder. Ryder had back-to-back 30-goal campaigns after the lockout, but ran afoul with Montreal coach Guy Carbonneau and ended up being a healthy scratch, chipping in just 14 goals. But Boston GM Peter Chiarelli had seen plenty of Ryder in the Northeast Division, first when Chiarelli was in Ottawa and then after taking over in Boston. He liked what he saw. "He's got a pretty good shot. He's quite a dangerous player," Chiarelli told ESPN.com late Tuesday night. Perhaps more important, coach Claude Julien has a long history with Ryder, dating back to junior. Last season, the Bruins were 24th in goals per game and 16th on the power play, so Ryder will be a welcome addition if he can regain his touch.
Blake Wheeler (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images) |
Wheeler, a Plymouth, Minnesota native, has spent the last three seasons playing for the University of Minnesota. In his 2007-2008 season, he led the team in scoring with 15-20-35 totals in 44 games, and was named to the third team, All-WCHA. Originally drafted in the first round (5th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, he will forego his senior season to enter the NHL. He did not sign with the Coyotes and became an unrestricted free agent.
The 6-4, 215 pound 21-year-old leaves the Gophers with career 42-54-96 totals in 127 games. In the 2006-2007 postseason, he earned the Tom Mohr Playoff MVP Award after tallying four goals and one assist. As a freshman, he recorded 9-14-23 totals at Minnesota, skating alongside fellow Bruin Phil Kessel. In 2005-2006 he also skated for the USA in the IIHF World Junior Championships, where he played in all seven games and scored two goals against Finland.
Before attending the University of Minnesota, Wheeler spent one season in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers, and led the team in scoring by notching 19 goals and 28 assists in 58 games. .
Wheeler is expected to attend the Bruins Development Camp which will be held July 8 - July 12 at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, MA.
