Oh Canada

So since my weekend starts today, I am taking tomorrow off to head to Canada for my bachelor party, I am posting the weekend kickoff girl now. I hope that every one makes it back in one piece. What are the odds someone either forgets their passport or loses it in Montreal?

So in honor of Canada here is a bevy of very Canadian women...Oh Canada my home and native land. True patriot love in all thy sons command!!

ADSL SEASON 5 – Weekly Review/Preview

It wasn’t until Saturday that it dawned on me what you guys were trying to do with this trade (I refer to it as THE EVENT). It was a test….trying to push me over the edge and make me revert back to my negative ways. Well I’m not going to let that happen….YOU CANT BREAK ME!

I’ve kind of left the opening segment of the weekly review/preview up to my discretion as to what gets posted. We can look back or look forward or I can just write about whatever it is I want to talk about. It doesn’t matter to me and I usually don’t decide until I sit down and start typing.

So I have to take some time and congratulate BOBBY BROWNS on their win last week. Ordinarily I don’t care who won the previous week since by the time this gets posted it’s already Thursday and we are all looking forward to the coming weekend, nobody cares about who won last week. Right? But BOBBY BROWNS deserves to get some props. He put up with more crap in one week than I can ever remember one team getting in any of our previous seasons. Granted, he deserved to get blasted for one of the worst trades I’ve ever seen….but BOBBY BROWNS didn’t care and he basically gave everyone the middle finger with a big win this week.

But before we get all excited for BOBBY BROWNS lets just remember he did ruin the season before week 4 had even started by ensuring Unmarked Bills finishes in 1st or 2nd. AP and Brees on the same team…..you’re killin’ me BROWNS. But you still haven’t broken me so congratulations on the win.

WHO’S HOT:

Jonathan Stewart: He may not be that hot, but 13.5 points is real hot if you compare it to the rest of The Real Steve Smith’s RB’s

Peyton Hillis: back to back Who’s Hot for Hillis. I guess SKZA doesn’t need 22 points

T.J. Houshamazoo: 11.5 points is 4 more than SFLABO’s starting 2 WR’s

Patriots D: 34 fantasy points…guess nobody told BUMS that special teams points count in this league

Brandon Lloyd: Iggles makes up dumb rules about not playing guys you just picked up and then he doesn’t even follow his own rule. 21.5 fantasy points

Chargers D: hmmmm….Chargers vs Cardinals or Bengals vs Browns. Guess Iggles hasn’t watched much football this year….Cardinals stink!

Carson Palmer: 29 points is hot right? I mean there is no way Palmer can outscore BILLS’ newly acquired franchise QB….NO WAY!

Just like last week….and the week before…and the week before….all on the BENCH!

WHO’S NOT:

Jay Cutler: -2 fantasy points…you can blame it on injuries BOBBY BROWN’s but the way that game was going you’re lucky your only QB made it out alive.

Demaryius Thomas: 0.5 points…not a great way to start things off with your new team. No truth to the rumor that BILLS is looking to void his trade.

Steve Smith: not the injured one….the one who is actually healthy but still can’t score any points. He’s about to make Iggles very long MOST HATED list.

Matt Forte: I may be wrong but this may be our first back to back Who’s Not. I cannot promise that Iggles isn’t laughing while typing this.

DeSean Jackson: It’s well known that Kevin Kolb don’t like Wizards…2.5 points only proves this point

Tough week for FLABO’s Rehab Center….Moss 0 points and Vick 2 points.

Did any Moss scorr points this week? If it wasn’t for his 5 rushing yards I would swear that SKZA’s Santana Moss didn’t even play.

I can’t confirm this but I believe TMX talked SKZA into playing Ronnie Brown over Hillis. Can anybody confirm this? 6 points for Brown ain’t gonna cut it for Team SKZA

What a week…..The Real Steve Smith finishes things up with another goose egg from Andre Johnson.

YOU GUYS MAKE THE CALL:

Talk about a new year….I’m not sure if I’ve even mentioned White Devils yet this year. I guess we need to change that….you gonna trade for Fitzy and not play him? What do you guys think? Nicks or Fitzy?

How about you NIGGERISH? Not going to play your new WR? Floyd and Colston have been hot and cold all year long. Which one you gonna play? Or do you say screw it and just play both of them.

Wizards going to pull off a trade or make a roster move? The Kolber can’t throw the ball more than 10 yards down field so I guess you’ll be looking for some YAC from DeSean.

A potential goldmine

Herald You don’t have to look very hard in Prague to find a joint that will be happy to sell you a mug of beer. But at the top of any beer-drinking tourist’s itinerary should be The Pub, a bar located just across the street from the Bruins [team stats]’ lovely riverside hotel. What makes The Pub different from the hundreds of other similar spots all over the center of the city? At each table in this bar, there are four beer spigots -- allowing customers simply to pour their own beers whenever they’re ready.

A running tab is automatically maintained and you pay when you’re done. There is even a giant scoreboard at one end of the room on which the beer consumption of every table is tracked -- a leaderboard, so to speak, with the inevitable competition between tables.

This kind of place would be enormously popular in Boston. Alas, it also probably would be enormously against the law.

Who wouldnt want to be at this bar? I am sure we could all get together and have some sort of race to see who consumes the most beers. This has shitshow/disaster/pure awesomeness/random Saturday afternoon written all over it.

WHAT!

Wait a second when did Steve Harvey start hosting the Feud? I thought the dude from Seinfeld was doing that?

Darts update week #5

Week 5 turned out to be another tough night with a 7-4 Loss.
We were down 3-0 rallied for a few wins, faded again and split the last 4 games.
601's 0-2
Cricket 2-1
301's 2-4

There were no excuses for tonight's performance as we had a full squad. Everyone except for CBV and Jeff decided to show up (I guess the letter was only good for a 1 week pass). The only thing I can attribute the poor night to was DW "Mike FM" changing the music format to all white music night which certainly cost us a point or two.

We did face a tough team who was in 2nd place starting the week, but as Parcells would say "You are what your record says you are" and right now, our record sucks! After tonight's loss we made the climb to the top near impossible and securing a playoff spot that much tougher.

Next week we will probably have a bye week as the other Peggy's team seems to have dropped out of the league. Looks like a good night for the boys to get together and practice, booze it up, toss some fun darts for cash and get ready for the 2nd half of the season. Lets GO DTF'ers, It's time to make a playoff run!

The only two bright spots of the evening were that we ended the night with an extra $21 in the suck which will come in handy next week, and when I got home to post this blog I was able to catch the tail end of New Jack City. Just in time to see Pookie get back into the rock, and get my fill of some Old School Hip-Hop...Am I my brothers keeper? Money talks, and bullshit runs a marathon. So, see ya and I wouldn't want to be ya.

'til next week bitches,
Prez.

Holy Snap

Julie Benz

Ok so last week I was moving(so my computer was taken apart) and Rio couldn't log in so there was no weekend kick off girl. I know that sucks. I also know a few of you check on Fridays just to see who the hottie is. Here is Julie Benz starting off your week.

Booo

Apparently it is going to be raining till at least Thursday. YUCK! I hope everyone has their boots and rain gear.

I would like to thank everyone who helped Katie and I move on Saturday. Iggles, Big L, and Noonan are all animals with their moving savvy. If Iggles and Big L started a moving company at least once a week someone would go through a wall.

Lets see what I learned this past weekend:
1. Moving blows but when you get some guys together it moves quite fast.
2. Jeffrey banged out the Quad at Grumpy whites - 4 4oz pattys and a 1/2 lb of fries not too shabby.
3. People get a little pissy when there is no weekend kick off chick. I passed that task to Rio since my CPU was down.
4. Fantasy football is the cure for all that ails you.
5. Even after all their injuries the Sox at least kept themselves in the race till mid September.
6. Cats do NOT like to move to a new place.
7. After packing for a week or so I have no desire to unpack ANYTHING. Anyone care to help.
8. I never ever ever want to drive a 24 foot truck again.
9. I am excited for the fall weather. It seemed to be making its way to us.
10. Bruins season is upon us, starting this Saturday at Noon. With the Sox season being over already there will be no NESN conflicts.

Congrats to Welchie and Jeffrey for both winning their golf leagues.
Jeffrey's team sneaking in with the 8th seed and taking it all.
Welchie is now EXEMPT for life! He can just stroll in and play for the ship - the championship!

As soon as I unpack I will be posting before and after pictures.
