Its May 16th and I legit have no idea what the weather is going to be like. Saturday was 80 today its 42, yesterday felt like Fall. I mean come on Mother nature make up your mind.

This is what I learned this weekend:
1. Art's Sunset Bay (the old Seadog), in Hull, has some pretty good food.
2. Jeffrey doesn't bounce back like he used to.
3. Are people nervous about the Madden curse and Gronk?
4. Cangrats to Phelpsy for being cancer free and being back to work this week.
5. John Brewer is bar tending over at Lulu's in Alston.
6.  Every year it seems like I am cleaning up and out my garage.
7. What you know about putting down a patio?
8. I think Sean "Supah P" Meehan is ducking me!
9. Mike Foley is too cool for a pub crawl, even in Quincy.
10. Who do you think will show up first on Saturday - Danny Cooney or Bill Smiddy?
11. Wendys is putting in self service kiosk to take orders.
12. A large iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts is over $3 now, how much will it cost when minimum wage is $15?
13. Speaking of Dunkin Donuts when did the drive thru become more of a priority than actual customers standing in line?
14. I have been trying to figure out the best way to make ribs. Anyone have any suggestions?
15. Sunday drivers are a real thing. Fucking people without a care in the world just driving around like zombies.
16. Shopping for sneakers is such a pain in the ass.
 17. Jason Foley (no relation to Mike who refuses pub crawls) is looking for a new plumbing job if anyone knows of any.

Saturday May 21 starting at 1:00. We are switching it up this year and heading to Quincy. The shirts are $20 as always all the proceeds will be donated to Dana Farber.

As always the Crawl was a success. We raised $1240.00 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.



This was in the email confirmation:
You are helping us care for an increasing number of children and adults who are confronting cancer. In addition, your generosity is fueling innovative research that is revealing the many reasons cancer begins and spreads.

At this time of growth and change, the Institute is faced with a great challenge and opportunity to bring cancer under control. Your support of that extraordinary goal is critical. Again, thank you for bringing us ever closer to a world without cancer.

Not to sound like a broken record but thanks again to everyone who showed up and donated at the 2nd Annual Mustache Pub Crawl. As you know we raised $1220.00 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute(Plus the $25 dollars that CustomInk, who made the shirts for me, donated brings the total to $1245.00). Here is the letter that they sent me thanking us for the donation. I asked them to put the money towards head and neck cancer. I hope to see you all next year at the 3rd Annual Mustache Pub Crawl, Saturday May 15th, 2010.

Give till it hurts...

I know that times are tough but any extra cash that you could give to each or any of these foundations/charities/causes would be greatly appreciated.

The first is the Doug Flutie Foundation. Every year Jenn runs the marathon to raise money for Autism awareness. She does this in honor of her nephew Genaro. The odds of being diagnosed with Autism is 1 in 150. Any little bit that goes towards a cure for Autism can surely help.

The second is Megan trying to raise money for R.O.F.Y(Reach Out for Youth & Families):
Our campaign is dedicated to achieving a Real Impact on Real People--our friends and neighbors from our local community--by improving the health of kids, molding young people, and strengthening families.

Each day our YMCA is focused on these outcomes and Reach Out for Youth & Families ensures that all those from our community can benefit from our effective, mission-based programs and services, regardless of their ability to pay.

The last is me. I started the Mustache Pub Crawl with the intent that I get a bunch of people together, have a stache-tastic time and raise money for a charity. Well last year was a trial run to see what kind of plan I could come up with, how many people we could involve and see if the bars were on board. The day was a success with over 100 people showing up. This year the date is set. The times are set. The charity is set. I will be donating all the proceeds to the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute. I will be selling shirts for $20.00 and taking donations the day of the crawl.

What else do you have to do on a random Saturday in May when the Sox are out of town??? You know you will probably end up drinking somewhere so why not with us....and for a GREAT CAUSE!!! So when you wake up with a hangover Sunday morning you can feel good about it!!!

The proceeds from the CRAWL FOR A CAUSE will go to the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation in support of Autism. I am running in the Boston Marathon and am raising money for this organization in honor of my nephew who has autism (please see link below if you want to know more about the charity or the cause):

2. Let's talk ROFY campaign...
It is the time of year when our fundraising campaign is in full swing.

This is an annual-year long campaign that benefits children and families in many ways!
With the current economic situations in our community, your help is needed.
This year we have had 6 of our very own students in the Y World of Tots needing scholarship assistance from our ROFY campaign to either continue their enrollment with us or for their family to be able to afford to send their child to Nursery School.

This campaign is near and dear to my heart. We need your help more than ever!
