The  2019 BFit Challenge Check Presentation

All of the money raised from the BFit First Responder Challenge powered by National Grid benefits the families of fallen heroes....On the bench to present the check during the Bruins game on February 26th 2019 was:
  • President of the Boston Bruins Foundation, Bob Sweeney
  • Director of Health, Fitness and Wellness for the Boston Bruins Foundation, John Whitesides
  • President of the Hundred Club of Massachusetts, John Lynch
  • President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts, Rich MacKinnon
  • Vice President of Customer Innovation and Development at National Grid, Carlos Nouel
  • Commissioner of the Boston Police Department, William Gross
  • Senior Manager, Global Philanthropy at Under Armour, Flynn Burch
  • Founder, Flags of Valor, Brian Steorts
This year Under Armour, through its Under Armour Freedom partner, Flags of Valor, provided a combat veteran crafted, Made in America - Under Armour Freedom Wooden Flag - to each top fundraising group.
The highest fundraising Police team was the Boston Police Runners Club who raised over $50,000. The highest fundraising Fire/EMS Team was the Worcester Fire Local 1009 Team 1 who raised over $38,000 And the highest fundraising individual was Cecil Jones who raised $50,000! We also had 3 individuals we would like to call out who each raised over $10,000: Andrew Staruk of Worcester Fire, John Fanning of the Massachusetts State Police, and Yuriy Bukenhik of the Massachusetts State Police. Thank you everyone, especially our First Responders and civilians who participated in the third annual BFit First Responder Challenge powered by National Grid & helped raise $500,000 for The Hundred Club of Massachusetts and the families of fallen first responders!

5 days

There are 5 shopping days till my birthday. So get ya asses moving. Oh there's also this little thing called Xmas and some Chanukah sprinkled in.

This is what I learned this weekend:
1. People live to break my balls.
2. All 3 of the new Star Wars movies are trash.
3. I can't wait till fantasy football is over.
4. Waking up with a headache is the worst.
5. Are you Xbox or PS4 kind of person?
6. Going to go to Table Boston, has anyone been?
7. Rumor has it this is the year Julie gets engaged.
8. Some of you have never been scared when your momma raised her voice and it shows.
9. Congrats on Joe and Karen, on purchasing their house at 33 Homer street in Quincy.
10. The Hoffbrau is a real shit hole dive bar.
11. I wonder if Mike Layden still waits till Xmas Eve to do all his shopping?
12. I hope everyone has a great holiday season.

9 days

There are 9 more stressful days of shopping before Christmas. Let's bang it all out before Sunday, ok?

This is what I learned this weekend:
1. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a vegetarian now.
2. Jeffrey chopped off all his hair.
3. Babies are funny.
4. If you don't know what to get someone,w is over 21, for Xmas just get em a bottle of booze.
5. You either live sushi or you hate it. There is no in between.
6. Anyone heard from Kung Fu Dave? Gotta check up on him around this time. He's gonna be like 48 soon.
7. Amazon has made it really easy to shop for any occasion.
8. Amazon Fire stick is 🔥.
9. It is totally normally for the kid at Stop and Shop to tell you to have a blessed day, right?
10. Disaronno and Bacardi on the rocks is suck a Rob drink.
11. Has anyone seen Chrissy out and about in a social setting the last 3 months?  How do we even know his texts are from him?
12. Calnan wants a guest spot on a podcast with Chrissy - only when Chrissy is 3 edibles deep.
13. Don't forget your mega millions tickets this week.
14. Who doesn't like ham? I mean ham is fucking delicious.

15 days

There are 15 shopping days till Christmas or 18 till my birthday!!

This is what I learned this weekend:
1. Is there anything better than a couch day.
2. Kids now a days are spoiled with where they sit for sporting events.
3. A &B burger is pretty awesome.
4. You gotta be about that brunch life.
5. Fucking $16 for a Truly at the Bruins game.
6. Martell is closing on his house next week. Can't wait for the party.
7. Petty people make me smile.
8. Booing the Patriots at this point in time is laughable. They have won 6 Superbowls and been to 9. Don't think you can boo them for at least 25 years.
9. If Sean McDonough calling sports doesn't hit home then where was your childhood?
10. Dwight Evans not making the hall of fame hurts me.
11. Chrissy isn't enjoying that Spray life. He's on the hunt for something new.
12. It seems like every city and town has thier own brewery nowadays.

Thanks

I'd like to thank everyone who donated a gift or two for the toys for tots crawl.
We collected enough gifts to make some kids Christmas.

This is what I learned this weekend:
1. It's 2019 bring ya kids to the bars.
2. Welchie is alive and kicking... barely.
3. Chrissy likes the Spray but isn't against another job. If you know of any. Hit em up.
4. Fucking Mike G just out here making babies and climbing the corporate ladder.
5. Black Friday deals are better than Cyber Monday.
6. I hope we all get invited to Nickersons wedding.
7. Top loading washer machine are underrated.
8. When your friends are becoming great grandparents, you are officially old.
9. Paddy Barrys feels like the bar in Gremlins.
10. Tequila is never a good idea.
11. It's fucking December. Let that sink in.
12. People looking forward to the Bud Light Seltzers...get over ya self's.
