SHYTOWN Police

A 14-year-old boy has managed to fool police officers in the US after dressing up in police uniform and reporting for duty at a Chicago police station.

The 14-year-old boy has been charged with impersonating a police officer

The teenager went on patrol in a squad car for five hours before he was detected.

He was only caught out when his stint alongside an actual police officer ended and another officer noticed his uniform was missing a regulation star.

Force spokeswoman Monique Bond said the local teenager was a member of a youth programme for those interested in police work.

He did not have a gun, issued no tickets and did not drive the vehicle at any time, said Deputy Superintendent Daniel Dugan.

The boy looks older than 14 and was motivated by a desire to be a cop and not by "ill intent", he added.

Officers are investigating what they describe as a serious security breach.

The teenager, who has not been named for legal reasons, has been charged with impersonating a police officer.

How cool is this imagine your 14 years old you got a police car have fooled the entire police department and your now driving around town in a real police car. The first thing I would do is pull over chicks until one offers to give me a blow job to get out of a ticket. Oh yeah I went there.
